  • My work out routine is highly varied and dynamic. I focus on 3 phases of training; stabilization, strength, and power. I incorporate olympic lifting, powerlifting, and metabolic conditioning into my structured routines.
  • All macronutrients are essential to building muscle, burning fat, and increasing performance. I maintain a high carbohydrate, moderate to high protein, and low to moderate fat intake everyday, including my off season.
  • Sweet potatoes are one of the best carbohydrates to consume. They are extremely nutrient dense, and when consumed with fats can substantially increase your body's ability to uptake beta-carotene.

PNBA Figure Pro
I am a national level figure athlete and powerlifter. I have been happily married to the love of my life for the past 8 years and we have two amazing fuzzy dogs, Paul and Silas. My husband and I were master trainers at 24 HR Fitness in Austin, TX. We recently opened up our own gym called Temple Builder Fitness where we train every level of fitness enthusiast. At Temple Builder Fitness, we are not just about a physical transformation, but an emotional and spiritual one as well. In addition to our new venture as business owners, my husband and I are helping to plant a church and change our community through faith and fitness.

I have competed in 8 figure competitions, placing 1st in my very first show in April of 2008. Competing as a figure competitor gave me the ability to compete in a sport, since I injured myself in high school and that ended my sports ventures. I competed in my first ever powerlifting meet in February of 2013 and won my 115lb weight class as well as set a new state record in the bench press.

I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, with specializations in Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement. I am also a level one Crossfit trainer and Crossfit Strongman certified. I have trained a pleathora of clients, ranging from cadets for the Marine Corp, to the very elderly with severe osteoporosis.

I am currently working towards my bachelors in geology, and hope to pursue graduate work in hydrogeology and water systems. In my spare time, I love going to the movies with my husband, reading the bible, walking our dogs, and spending time at our new gym. My training philosophy is summed up in one scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

So everyone please put your favorite recipe(s) Here is one of my favs: ON Casein/peanut butter icecream! 1 scoop ON casein cookies and cream or chocolate supreme 1 tbsp of natural peanut butter( I use naturally more) Mix together. Add water to mixture until consistency is like a thick batter. Put in the freezer for 10-15 min. Get ready for delishiousness! (is that a word?) Eyes on the prize!

Hi ben! I actually kind of just eyeball it after I mix the casein and peanut butter together. Just enough so that it makes a pretty pliable batter.
