I have competed in 9 figure competitions, placing 1st in my very first show in April of 2008. I received my professional status in figure in June of 2014. Competing as a figure competitor gave me the ability to compete in a sport, since I injured myself in high school and that ended my sports ventures. I competed in my first ever powerlifting meet in February of 2013 and won my 115lb weight class as well as set a new state record in the bench press.
I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, with specializations in Corrective Exercise, Performance Enhancement, and Fitness Nutrition. I am also a level one Crossfit trainer and Crossfit Strongman certified, as well as certified in exercise nutrition with Precision Nutrition. Lastly, I have a bachelor's degree in geology--I'm a rock hound! I have trained a pleathora of clients, ranging from cadets for the Marine Corp, to the very elderly with severe osteoporosis.
I have no current plans for competitions, rather I'm in a building phase of training and am focusing 100% of my time into developing my clients and helping them reach their health and fitness goals. In my spare time, I love going to the movies with my husband, reading the bible, walking our dogs, hiking, camping, and mountain biking. I recently picked up bow hunting, and I adore it! My training philosophy is summed up in one scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Hi everyone! I shared a recipe earlier this week in my blog and I'd like to start a thread about creating recipes that are healthy and have ON products in them. So everyone please put your favorite recipe(s) Here is one of my favs: ON Casein/peanut butter icecream! 1 scoop ON casein cookies and cream or chocolate supreme 1 tbsp of natural peanut butter( I use naturally more) Mix together.
