Bio
I am a 27 year old male from Lansing Michigan. After graduating High-school and going to college I was recruited at a young age to be a Police Officer for the City of Lansing. This was an absolute dream come true. I was doing what I always wanted to do, serve. Working the inner City I was faced with many "tough" calls to say the least. I worked a high weapons and drug area. During my span of 6 years on the road I was hospitalized over 12 times and suffered two concussions. I pushed and pushed and strived to do my best each day. Something just seemed to be "off" I was suffering flashbacks, nightmares, cold sweats, depression and a dependency on alcohol. This surely was not the norm, I thought.

So I continued to push myself each day to do my best. The harder I pushed it seemed the more setbacks I had. In 2009 I was diagnosed with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Saying I was devastated is an understatement. Doctors said I would never return to the road. The risk of just one more concussion would cause severe brain damage, and life would just not be "normal" from here on out. I was persistent and decided I would "act" like everything was fine. I mean after all this is an injury that you can't see with the naked eye. I faced a career ending injury later in the year. My dreams were shattered. Within a short period of time my bank account was drained, I lost my apartment, my fiancé left me, I liquidated my assets and moved into my parents basement. Heck...my dog even died in those short weeks.

I have always had a passion for fitness and training. At this point I had nothing left but faith and a little bit of will. I decided it was time to find my "True Strength." I made a promise to myself that competing and training was no longer about me. I needed to find a way to fulfill that servant niche I had. I decided I was going to use "my story" to help others with perseverance and strength through training. I could go on and on with stories. After hitting rock bottom I feel I have helped numerous people in their journey for True Srength. My vision and ultimate goal is to continue to do this and to help those find their True Strength through my story.
